My work is in the field of image processing. I am developing a range of high-level tools that allow human interaction in the image upsampling process. This is based on the premise that humans know from experience what images should look like when enlarged. With a simple range of controls, I hope that the user can convey this knowledge to the computer to produce better results than fully automatic upsampling methods.
This work is funded by a EPSRC DTA and supervised by Neil Dodgson.
