Frank Roumen University of Cambridge

I am a research assistant at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, in the group of Glynn Winskel. My main research interests are in category theory and its applications to the foundations of quantum mechanics. More specifically, I am currently studying event structures and their uses in the semantics of quantum computation.

From 2012 to 2016 I was a PhD student in mathematics at Radboud University Nijmegen, supervised by Ieke Moerdijk. During my PhD research, I studied quantum logic using effect algebras and their categorifications. This has applications in the cohomology of contextuality.
