I am very interested in classical music. I do not have as much time now to practice regularly, but I still play once in a while so I do not forget.

My favourite composers include Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, and Beethoven. More broadly, I am interested in late-romantic type of music. I like piano, violin, orchestra, and combinations of these. More recently, I have started liking string quartets and chamber music.

A while ago, I recorded a couple of pieces with nonprofessional equipment (i.e., a cell phone) as a proof that I once knew how to play in case I forget in the future. They can be found on Youtube:

  • I play badminton and I swim. I am now giving rowing a try (M8+).
  • Mac user.
  • I am fluent in English, Chinese (mandarin) and French.
  • I was the president of McGill Computer Science Undergraduate Society and the IT officer of McGill Chinese Students Society, and sat on the steering committee of the International Students Orientation at the University of Oregon.
