Here is a broadcast made on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on 13th July 1994
that predicted the future of interactive services to the home.
We discussed various, future online services, including
home shopping, targeted advertising, digital music downloads and pay-per-view.
We did not speak about e-mail or mention the word Internet!
Our iTV trial supported end-to-end QoS. If you listen to this on
today's broadband using streaming RealAudio, you might get the odd interruption
or 'break up' as a large email or other file shares your broadband link. Our
system did not suffer from that because it gave priority to real-time traffic.
