Abstract

This report discusses the rationale, design, collection and initial statistics of a message request and retrieved document relevance assessment set for the Cambridge Video Mail Rewtrieval (VMR) Project. This data set is designed to complement the VMR Database 1 (VMR1) message set and was designed for the testing of document searching methods being investigated in the VMR project. The combined message and request set is referred to as VMR1b.
