This document describes the current status of virtual address management in the Nemesis operating system. As the project is also actively pursuing the broader topic of virtual memory management , it has been decided to describe this work here in the hope that a clearer overall framework may be presented.
Some background is initially given regarding the general goals and philosophy of the Nemesis operating system, followed by an overview of the general architecture of the virtual memory system. Section 4 presents the design of the system in detail. This is followed by a description of a prototype implementation of the virtual memory system, a brief look at related work, and a summary.
