Collaborating with the Computer Laboratory
Our researchers work with a wide range of external partners, and there is no simple model of how these collaborations and relationships work. From long-term fully funded projects with multi-national companies, to one-off student internships supported by local start-ups, we take the broadest possible view, and aim to be as flexible as possible depending on the needs of the project and the partner involved. The one common thread in all our collaborations is that there is real research question at the core.
We are always interested in exploring new collaborations. You can either identify an academic whose research is most aligned with your requirements by looking on the group webpages, or contact the Research Facilitator, Andrea Kells, who can talk through the potential options.
Various funding sources are available to support university-industry collaborations. Some of these are listed here.
If you are predominantely interested in working with our students, either through student projects, sponsoring internships (in the Laboratory or at your organisation), or by direct recruitment, these activities are coordinated through our Industrial Supporters Club.
