    1111The DTG was originally called the Open Media Group, and was located within the Computer Laboratory as part of the [http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/ Systems Research Group]. The group changed its name to the Laboratory for Communication Engineering when it became part of the Engineering Department in 1997. In October 2004 the DTG re-located back to the Computer Laboratory; the DTG continues to maintain close links with, and includes members of the Engineering Department.
