Bluetooth Signal Strength Measurements
Introduction
We performed a series of measurements involving Bluetooth and the Active Bat system in order to understand propagation characteristics of Bluetooth in a typical office environment. The experiements were performed in the Digital Technology Group, Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge.
We are making available selected data sets of the fine-grained measurements publicly so other researchers and interested parties may use the data. Data Sets Walls
The laboratory walls are given in the following file with the format:
| x1 | y1 | x2 | y2 |
The laboratory walls are contained within the coordinates:
{{(x = 990, y = 997)}} and {{(x = 1008, y = 1050)}}
Wall Definition File: lce_walls.txt Readings
The format of the data is as follows:
| x-coord (m) | y-coord (m) | z-coord (m) | link quality | remote rssi |
Survey where receiver was placed at: (1002.040, 1017.528, 0.761) survey_central.log
Survey where receiver was placed at: (1004.2506 1006.01627 0.840) survey_west.log
Usage
The above data is provided as-is. The logs above have been filtered and does not represent the performance of the location system used.
Use of the above data set should be accompanied by an acknowledgement to the Digital Technology Group, Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge.
