DE4 Tablet computer

The DE4 Tablet is a prototype computer designed as part of the CTSRD and BIMPA projects.

It has a Terasic DE4 FPGA board with an Altera Stratix IV FPGA, a touchscreen and up to 8GB of RAM. We designed the BERI and CHERI 64 bit MIPS processors for use on the FPGA. The portable version also has a battery and HDMI out, with the CPU and most of the peripherals of our own design inside the FPGA. We've given presentations directly from the tablet.

We've open-sourced the mechanical design of the tablet under a 2-clause BSD licence - you can read the assembly instructions and download the design files from github.
