Move: New Building, etc.
We are delighted to report that there were no injuries to members of the department during the move.
It was thought by the committee that the Gravel in the cycle park was a safety concern that should be addressed.
Concerns were raised over the lack of air flow.
We have been told that there is no easy way to check that the air flow is according to spec, and that the flows have not yet been tuned. The committee decided that it should wait and see after a period of time once the department has settled in properly.
It was decided that PB and PAN would have a walk round of the building.
We also decided that after the fire events of the week that there was no great rush for a practice fire alarm.
Assembly points are thought to be decided by the University Fire Officer.
It was agreed that the fire notices from the University would be put at every call point.
Statutory poster - Under discussion
Plan of routes which need to be clear - Under discussion
A user reported that the alarms are not loud enough. It was thought that maybe we could do a test in each part of the building to see where the faults were.
CONE will be maintaining the Lifts for 1 year and then it will be under discussion.
It was also asked when will there be a "Hand Winding" Course. This needs to be discussed with Engineering as well.
