If you were looking for a reason as to why we did this it's all fairly simple. All second year computer scientists at Cambridge have to do a group project for part of their coursework. We all noticed that one of the projects involved coding an Edsac simulator, it sounded more fun than a distributed voting system or canal routing and we were fortunate enough to get selected. So here we are.
